PUBG Mobile Comeback: Important milestones remain for PUBG Mobile to re-launch in India

PUBG Mobile Comeback Update - 3 important steps still to be taken: PUBG Mobile, the most famous Battle Royale title on the mobile platform, has been banned in India since September 2. The game has taken the first step to establish itself as an India company. PUBG Mobile has registered as a company with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs on November 21. The two directors are Sean (Hunil) Sohan and Kumar Krishnan Iyer.

But there are still steps to be taken to restart the game in India. The relaunch of PUBG Mobile is unlikely to see the light of day unless these three steps are fulfilled.

Step 1 : Thumbs up from Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology

PUBG Mobile India requires a green light from MEITY. The ministry which had banned PUBG along with others are yet to react on the PUBG’s new registered entity. This permission is very important as we all know it was Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology that put the ban on the game so they are the ones to revoke it.

“Any banned entity can’t operate just by floating new company. This even Tik Tok or anyone else can do. They will have to get permissions from MEITY to operate once again in India”, said one of the ministry source to InsideSPORT.

When this ministry gives PUBG permission then the game will take no time to return. The Battle Royale was banned by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology on the 2nd of September 2020, and it came as a backdrop to the ensuing tension that was taking place between India and China near the Himalayan border. This same ministry will have to remove PUBG from banned list to operate in the country.

Step 2 : PUBG Comeback can only happen if all other Government compliances are completed

PUBG Mobile India needs all the basic government compliances for functioning in India. They needs a GST number. Every business holder gets Goods and Services Tax Identification Number (GSTIN) or a GST Number. Every registered person receives a unique identification number. No organization and business can carry on business without registering under GST guidelines.

Another key thing is the PAN number, Pan can be obtained by Income Tax India e-filing website or using the GSTIN (Goods and Service Tax registration number) of the company.

Other than this they have to comply with the Foreign Direct Investment guidelines of the Indian government for the gaming industry.

Step 3 : PUBG will have to make sure that user data is not compromised

PUBG reportedly has made Microsoft AZURE as its partner to host the data as well the  game. Microsoft Azure,’ that manages the computing and storage of resources on Microsoft’s data centers. This is what primarily keeps the data, such as servers and user information, secure.

Companies Protect data, apps and infrastructure quickly with built-in security services in Azure that include unparalleled security intelligence to help identify rapidly evolving threats early—so you can respond quickly. Implement a layered, defense in-depth strategy across identity, data, hosts and networks.

And it is this security that is integral to game’s return to India. PUBG – Microsoft Azure relationship is only reported in media. The same needs to be made official so that PUBG PROMOTERS can win the confidence of the Indian government
